Hi All,

My year 2 class designed and built their own puffin nests last week in Science!  They looked at a range of materials and predicted which ones they thought would make the best insulators for their egg.  They then built their nests and we have put them outside in the playground behind the sheds.

We found out that puffins incubate their eggs for 35 - 46 days so we will be using data loggers to record the temperature of each nest over about 5 weeks to find out which materials were the most successful at keeping the puffin egg (we used chicken eggs!) warm.
